2 Become 1

Before one's mind goes wild, I decided to merge back my personal blog and running blog back into one. Well kinda lazy to be maintaining two blogs.

Well had my dental examination for my overseas posting in the morning. Didn't quite clear it. Still need to do some filing for one of the tooth before I can get passed fit for my overseas posting.

Took the chance to rest for the rest of the day. It has been quite an eventful weekend. Besides going for the Mizuno Wave Run 2010 on Sun morning, I also helped out in the Ulu Pandan CC YEC Children Day Celebration on Sat. My involvement in the event actually started as early as in the planning stage early last month. This project is special as it involves PRC scholars who are in the MOE-PAYM programme. They are heavily involved in the planning from the start.

I reached the CC to help out at around 2.30pm. Haha I was supposed to be there at 2pm but I was just too tired from the duty the previous night. I was spending precious time to catch up on my sleep. By the time I reached, the PRC scholars and fellow YEC committee members has already started to work on the decoration, and I just joined in to help with the decorations.

Time really flies fast, and very soon, it is 5pm when the children started coming in. Haha I can recognize quite a few of them. I stayed in the background and supported the party logistically, machiam like my day job. Moving of the chairs for parents, setting up of tables for the buffet, haha it is just like working. Hahaha. The party went alright i guess, through the mascot got "abused". The kids nowadays are so naughty naughty, got one kid keep looking for the chance to hit "the lower part"of the kungfu panda. Thankgoodness, I was supposed to be the mascot at first. Hahahaha. Heard some aunties commenting on why the goodie bag is a packet of self-packed assorted sweets and biscults. I almost burst out laughing. The so called goodie bag is never meant for the adults in the first place.

Fun times dun last long, and the party ends at 8pm. Together with the PRC scholars, I helped to clear and "restored" the place back to the orginal state before joining my fellow committee member and his mascot friend for a dinner.

Visited my father after the end of the Mizuno Wave Run. He called me after the Children Day Party thus I went over to saw face. Hmmm listen to his nagging on why he lose his job, why his elder brother never asks his son to reinstate his job, on why my cousin is so unhelpful to all the relatives, etc. I just listened. There is no point to say anything, I have learnt. Whatever I said, would be wrong. So I just kept quiet and listen and eat my early lunch with him.

There was still no mention of the birthday. Hahaha he called me on my birthday night and told me that he lost his job. That was the most classic man. A father cannot even remember his son birthday. I dunno what else to say. Haha
