There were many firsts, it was my first time taking a plane, and this trip already consists of a total of four flights - two domestic and two international flights. And since that I am talking about the transport, I took the ICE (Intercity-Express) train for the first time as well, from Hannover to Berlin, the speed of the train reaches 250km/h at some stages, which is much faster than the SMRT that we have in Singapore. It was 244km/h per hour when I took the pict through. And ya almost forget to mention their MRT, the routes are so complicated that I dun understand. I am quite sure that I would get lost without our interpreter. And their expressway is really the REAL expressway. Cars are flying at easily 160km/h and much more, some could be overtaking at as fast as 200km/h. But they are really disciplined drivers, as they are using left sided drive, they tend to overtake using 1st inner lane, once they are done they will filter into the 2nd lane. It always is the same case, and I quite admire it. The best part is that i do not witness any accidents. Strange in a way, we are always been educated that "Speeding kills" you know, but haha I guess in a way, their drivers are more alerted because they are driving so fast?
My father fetched me from Changi Airport the other day, and haha guess what i kinda not used to our transport system in Singapore liao. It's abit too slow to my liking and it will take me a while to get used to it again.
I did mention that I saw the snow for the first time as well. This was taken way back in March through. Doing physical chores in this weather is no joke, especially the fingers will get numb.
And also I visited many cites, towns, and places of interests for the first time - Bergen, Munster, Celle, Berlin, Hannover, Bermen, Hamburg, Munich. But there is not simply enough time and money to explore every streets through. I would be slowly uploading some selected pictures to facebook. Haha I think I got at least a few thousand picts to filter through.
But another interesting experience is that I visited Reeperbahn in Hamburg. Basically this is like Geylang in Singapore just that it is much much more open. There is restaurants, night clubs, discotheques and bars, there are also strip clubs, sex shops, brothels. And there is this Herbertstrabe which can be only accessed by men. Basically the prostitutes will be sitting inside in their bikinis for the men to choose, and if u are interested, the woman will open the window and discuss the price. It is really "window shopping". Hahaha. This picture was taken in the afternoon, I happened to go once in the night and it is really happening...
But in case u wonder, i didn't. Haha. We always travel in group, and please lah, why pay that kind of money (about 100 Euros - do your maths) and become a laughing stock? It is common knowledge that we asian are not so "well equipped". Haha. In fact, they dun really like to approach us as well...
Haha oh ya the image of a grandmother doing pole dancing on the bar table at one of the bar in Reeperbahn will be in my mind for some time to come. Haha...
