Well completed the course. Nothing beats the feeling going to the place where I have spent 4 months as a trainee, and seeing so many old friends - as in the instructors. In fact my course IC this time round is the same one back then, through I only see her yesterday as she was on course.
Put in 2 short runs in the past 2 days. The first was on Thu night, did the exact same route back to SP (starting from Ghim Moh, along Commonwealth Ave West, turns left into Dover Ave, and turns right into Dover Road, and then enter via Gate 3) which is about 2km and then carry on with 6 laps round the track. The timing was slightly better than what I have did on Tue night, but I didn't want to carry on. Talking about progressive training and typical increase of mileage, and given my on and off training, it is hard to define in a way but after all these injuries, I am extra careful so I didn't want to over train. Thus instead of running, I walked another 2km around the track before calling it a day.
As per usual, SP track is buzzing with activities, see my SP track juniors busy training for the IVP games which is coming up in about 1 month time. SIM is also around (quite a few of my juniors have since moved on from SP to SIM). Of coz there are usual lion dancing with their drumming which provides motivation when you run.
But then I didn't see someone leh. Where is Tiwazz? Haiz. Seems to me that the Westside Run has went quiet. It is either him alone or when we come, he is not around.
Friday run was in camp, the last day of the course. Ran with my course mates who are mainly combatants so you know i know lah, I was slow as compared to the rest but I have pushed myself close to my limit, but 2 of my course mates paced me all the way. A few friendships was bonded this week, let's hope that we can keep in contact.
It is a long weekend, as compared to the busy weekend that I have last week, this weekend should be more quiet. I shall not reveal the reason, just that there is the need to report back to camp asap if the call comes. Given the very short reporting time that I have, I might as well stay at home and rot, and take cab back to camp if necessary.
Just imagine if I were in the middle of the long slow distance run in MR or somewhere else when the phone call comes, hahaha die...
