Some additional weight is put on after I put a stop to my running after the last run in MR. I guess no one who knows me a decade ago, would imagine me to be struggling to manage my weight now?

After struggling to keep up that day, I ain't sure if I still have what it takes anymore. I simply lacks the discipline now. I know what is going on, but yet I am not taking any actions to stop it. So I know I supposed to run more, but I ended up slacking more. I know I supposed to eat less, but I ended eating more.

I have a bad twist of my ankle in camp the other day through another stupid freak incident, it seems to me that the old injury is back for good. Even with a few good days of rest, the pain came back on and off while I walk.

I am so unfit now that I having muscles aches even from brisk walking. Haha I gave up jogging around my neighbourhood just now, so I ended up concentrating on opening up my stride while walking. Ha that is enough to cause quite a fair bit of discomfort already.

Well my walking rpm has dropped significantly after my operation, and my walking/jogging stride is small as I do not want to impact my ankle too heavily or bend my ankle too much, thus along the way, my muscles adapted to walking/running style and in a way grew weaker. So just now, when I open my stride, my thigh muscles and knee can really feel the strain.

So it is really back to basics now. I shall do more walk. I hope that I will really do what I write down this time. Because very often than not, I didn't do what I wrote that I wanted to do.

On a side note, this evening at boon lay, I met 2 really good buddies back in SP Track days (that's like more than 5 years ago) without any prior arrangement. Bumped into Bernard first at JP2 and walking together to SAFRA, bumped into Albert. Everyone is so busy with their individual lives, that we have not met up for quite a long while, so it is just great to be bumping into them.

Ran into SP track during my neighbourhood run just now. It is a place with many happy memories, and of coz a place to see many old friends as well. Didn't really talk to my juniors as they are busy training and I didn't want to disturb so I carried on with my run back home after 1km in track.

Okay lah. Time to rest and nurse my ankle.
