Weekend...

Caught another gig last sat night, this is to support my good friend in my previous workplace, Dexter, who is part of the band, "Sea Bed Sound". Compared to the one that I have attended not long ago, it was a different kind of feel and unique. It was actually held in the alley of Haji Lane. Though the location seems a bit out, but the standard is rather high. I was impressed by their last act, "let's dance" which can be heard online on their MySpace site.

Now, I finally understand what he is busy with. Haha while working together back then, he gave me the impression that he can perform better at work, but somehow it is not happening. Now I finally got it.

Before catching this gig, I went for the 2nd R2unners seniors training at MR. I didn't start well, my breathing is very very heavy, so I slowed down and walked quite a bit, even Coach Robin over took me, but not before he keep motivating me to run with him and we managed to catch up with Meifang, but after I took the water break at the ranger station I lost sight of them.

The gap between us grow and grow. By the time i hit the golf course, I cannot see anyone ahead. Well didn't want them to wait too long for me, so I switched on my turbo but energy saving mode. I ran when I see downslope and relatively flat terrain, walk when I see upslope and very uneven terrain. I ran until I saw someone very familiar at the front, hahaha so happy to catch up with Meifang. We walked together to the end point. Haha was 2 minutes slower than previous week. Maybe the drink the night before "helps".

I know it kinda defies the purpose of a 10km leisure run. It should be at constant pace. But then when I was chasing, I can feel the old feeling. I have not run at that pace for a long while now. I think maybe I still have it, I just need to keep beliving. I am too used to run at my leisure pace now. So maybe it isn't that bad that I run 10km in such a way.

Less seniors turned up this time round, haha well but i hope this weekly run on sat can last as long as possible. It provides me some sorta motivation to keep running.
