R2unners Club Gathering Cum Christmas Celebration

I was actually rather surprised to receive the invitation to go for the above mentioned event on Sat evening. I have not been going back to R2unners, which is a group founded by Coach Robin and Mr Ferrari for those SP Trackers who trained under him. I have not been active in going back to SP to assist ever since I fractured my metatarsal earlier in the year, and then followed by my stay-in course, and now my stay-in appointment. Oh by the way, I went out of camp this evening because I simply dun see a point in me staying in because I am on leave, I am already one of the rare species who go back to work despite being on leave. Back to the event, so I am really surprised to receive the email.

The event was held at a 5 storey townhouse owned by Mr Ferrari. As the unit is kinda vacant right now, the organizing committee actually went to the place a day in advance to clean up the place and then do up the decorations. A slide show of the pictures which was taken over the years was prepared and shown during the gathering. There was even prizes for the best male and female runners and token of appreciations for Coach and Mr Ferrari. Besides that, the food and drinks are more than enough. It's a really well planned gathering and I must comment that there is a lot of hard work put in by the organizing committee. And I really enjoyed it, it is really great catching up with old friends that I have not seen for quite a while.

I chose to stay overnight. Because I feel that I have to. I wanted to help to clear up. Though I didn't do much, but it's still better than me leaving straight after the dinner. But then, the decision more or less "kills" my sunday in a way, as I catched up with Leslie late into the night until about 5 plus in the morning and drink a bit of alchohol.

The seniors - mostly working or serving the nation

Haha this is me, I am still thinking who draw this

Ronaldo and me

I know that there is some remarks about the "invisible" seniors and if the party is worth the pain. I can only say this, if I was not posted to this camp, and not a stay-in appointment, I would be going back gladfully. It's a place which carries so much wonderful memories.
