Ended work early on Friday so I went home and take a nap before deciding to go out again in the evening to Tiong Bahru Plaza to take a walk and shop for a mouse - have been making use of my laptop without a mouse for a couple of months. I have been wanting to buy one but always forget to buy when I booked out. And by the time I realized, I am lazy to go out again, and have been postponing the purchase week by week. Hahaha that's how lazy that I can be.
But on the way there and back. I experienced sharp pains on 3 separate occasions within 2 hours. I was just walking. Not fooling around. Never twisted and turned the ankle at all. The sensation "shoot up my leg" instantly and I can say that the pain scale is arguably the worst after post operation. Before that, I am still harbouring thoughts that maybe I can walk/jog/run it off this weekend. But now, I am having second thoughts.
I am 9 working days away from completing this course, after minus away holiday and block leave. I am 9 working days from getting the rank, finally becoming somebody, arguably should be achieved 4 years ago. I do not want to take any unecessary risks right now. I do not want anything unexpected to happen now.
But I must confess that the fear is there. Nah it is not swollen at all. That makes it more unpredictable but the pain is so familiar. It feels like an old friend is revisiting. But I do not welcome him.
Hahaha what can I say. So close yet so far. I am just praying that I will be strong enough to last till 14 Oct, graduation ceremony. And that will be my simple 24th birthday wish for Monday. Because there is no turning back now.
