After an meeting among our section on monday, i got an increase of share in my workload, which kept me, my mind busy which helps not to think of certain stuff @ work. Which is very good. Haha. Some might think i siao liao, but the more tasks u got means that you are getting more and more recognised in your work, which cannot be a bad thing.

I did my first 2.4k run/jog on Mon after operation. Stopped 5 times along the way, because of the pain @ ankle, and "breathlessness". My timing is a whopping 21mins. But isn't that bad, considering that i stop quite a number of times. Average is 3min30s per lap. Which betters than the average time of approximately 4mins that i have try to run during in one of the SGRunners West Run last month, i gave up that time becoz my ankle cant make it.

The pain is still there, but i guess i might be able to cope with it, and get used to it soon. My first priority now is to lose weight gained after the operation and gain back my fitness before upping my mileage - i will stick the distance of 2k -2.4k for the next 1-2 months.

This comeback is going to be one of the hardest. I feel heavy during the run - the extra weight. I can feel that the muscles of both legs has weakened/is gone after almost 6 months out - pain here and there. And no "breath" - stamina all gone. And the running style - changing again to compenstate for my ankle weakness.

I am starting from ground zero. So i guess the timing to start now is just nice. 8 more months to go. Slow and steady.
