Went to work despite the cough. Was coughing like crazy during the parade and during work. Finally saw a GP after work, he gave me medicines that causes drowsiness but never give MC. Funny right? It's quite ironic that you can get MC when u having minor flu, but coughing like every 2,3 minutes dun get anything.
Haiz will miss the SGRunners 2nd Anniversary on this sat. To be fair to the guys, my superior actually asked us to draw lots to rotate to be my boss's runner for the rehearsals leading to NDP. But my dear boss overwrite by pinpointing me to be his "permanent" one. =(
Actually i dun mind that, just that it makes my weekend schedule very tight especially when i have to try to accommodate her schedule in.
Leave approved for next wed afternoon. I have not been active in SP Track for a long time. Thought of giving them surprise morale boast but never mind about the surprise element lah. I will be heading back to sch to root for my SP track juniors and 2 alumni teams for Poly 50.
Heard from ChunSeng that from next year, the younger generation and the older generation team will finally merge.
Anyway today is a breakthrough for me. During the parade, the dismiss drill - i have to lift up my right leg 90 degrees and hit the ground fast and hard. I totally forget about my ankle. I just executed the drill as per normal. And it went on well. I realized that my ankle might be stronger than i think it is. I have been really careful and reserved about my ankle. I have not really been pushing it so far but maybe it's about time for me once the illness is out of the way. It's already July, if i want to maintain the slim chance to go back to combat in Dec, it got to be now or never.
