Supposedly should have a new "toy" today. My Starhub maxonline and cable vision contract has expired quite sometime ago. So i was offered over a phone call by their promotrer - the digital video recorder that can records about 60hrs of footage, which also acts as the set up box, worth over 700 dollars according to the promoter for free by renewing my contract. The key word is FREE. Hahaha. Actually dunno if i will frequently record programme, hahaha. But i took up the offer since it's FREE.

So they came and do the free installation this morning. But however, something is wrong with the new machine. The mosaic and the info menu can be seen. However, no picture when it's switched back to the main menu, as in no image for every channels.

So no choice, they took back the new but somehow faulty machine, and fixed another appt to come with another new recorder. Have to take a 1/2 day leave next week. Hopefully it would work out well next time, if not my leave is going to be wasted.

I have yet to visit my mother for 2 weeks. Should be going this weekend. But I am hesitatied to go yet. Going to my sis's place is becoming a fear itself. You just dunno what you are going to expect. Would it be calm, or a full blown war? You just never quite know.
