My 1st Sleague experience

Regretted not bringing my camera. Orginally i was sitting @ the grandstand, but Queenstown Stadium is designed in such a way that the root is supported by 4 main pillars @ the front. Which is quite a eyesore because you cannot see the whole pitch with those pillars blocking the view. So i decided to forgone my grandstand seat, and go to the open gallery across the pitch @ the opposite of the grandstand.

And as the stadium filled up to almost 70% of its maximum capacity for the night (partly because it's free entry), the national soccer team head coach, Raddy just sit down not far away from me, just barely 3,4 seats away. He's really down to earth. He didn't bother to ask for special treatment and just sit & watch the game together with the crowd. He even agreed to take pict with a few kids. Arrhh really regret not bringing a camera.

But as in every other soccer games, there are going to be certain ugly fans. Verbally abuse the players, referee, coach. Cheering when the opposite team lost the ball.

Liaoning lost the game 0-3 to Tampines. Considered that there were 2 disallowed goals for offside. And a goal bound shot that hit the crossbar. It could easily be 6-0, or even more.
Liaoning was never in the game, the team never recovered from Noh Alam Shah's goal from the first attack in the first minute. I didn't even remember Rezal Hassan saving any shot in the 2nd half, or should i say that there was no shot at all.
Liaoning's play in the final third of the pitch is disappointing. They lost the ball very often in midfield, and when they make it past the midfield, no one really want to take the responsibility to shoot and ended up passing, and eventually losing the ball.

Overall, it just isn't Liaoning's night. Well it's the night of the favourites, and to some extent, the charities under Singapore Pools. For a winning odds of almost 6 dollars to be halved, there is quite a lot of money poured in for Liaoning's win, that forced Singapore Pools to reduce the odds to prevent a big payout. But in the end, thankfully it didn't happened, or it never seems like happening since the very first min.

Quite a experience. The live environment is just different from a game watched on tv. Maybe will find time to see more matches in the near future.

Now, the golden question. Haha. I lose a bit lah. I didn't went for favourites tonight, i went with the crowd. Soccer is always like that - you win some, you lose some. No one will keep winning.

Okay it's back to work. Expecting quite a eventful & busy week. Afterall, there is this visit by a VIP. Can call him our big big big boss. And another duty too.
