Rest day

Woke up at 7am, time it to perfection, travel to BG reaching at around 0830hrs to meet the sgrunners gang for breakfast at this 24hr prata place opp the basketball ball court entrance, Reached there just nice when they finished their 10km run. Though got to wait for them to cool down and wash up.

Makan the non-veg set meal which consists of rice, curry chicken, and vegi, because i dunno what to eat. And anyway by then it's already 9 plus, so it's some sort of breakfast/lunch combo for me already.

Then we walked to Serene Centre want to eat ice cream, but we were too early. So ended up the "hardcore eaters" - Ironmandreamer, Tiwazz, Roonz, Cosmic_wind, Charlotte, and me took bus to Bukit Timah Market to makan round 2 - deserts. Hahaha.

After that took bus home together with IMD, and as the title implies, this is my rest day. Needed to rest for the rest of the day, still running flu is one thing, but is my first full week back in work after 12 weeks of slacking, fri is just warming up, this week will fully test my lazy bug then after that should be alright liao. And ya to see if my allergy to work will happen again or not. Hahaha.

Again must extend my congrats to IMD for his ROM tml - cannot attend due to work. Also a late congrats to Jiahe, my colleague for his ROM on fri.

Many have started asking about my running targets/resolutions for the new year. Well i am not setting any. Because i decided not to rush my way back. The surgeon is predicting 3-6 months back into sports, but i am looking at 6-9 months. Well got to be realistic and be careful at the same time, like juggling 3 balls like that, well after this reconstruction, i dun really want to risk coming back too fast, or injured it again, coz if kana another simliar injury, well it's going to be hard to fix it again.
Based on my current condition, i realised that i might still have a bit of same problem. That's the uneven surfaces- ankle will hurts when twisting slightly on uneven ground (but it was slightly better than last time). Hmm well i will wait another 3 months or so, if still cannot, also no choice. Got to slowly get used to it for outfield, so maybe will do trekking/walking at MR, before slowing become to chiong on those grounds. So i guess i will take quite a while to come back. 9 months is pretty realistic, getting back to shape, get fit again, and get back to running, and getting used to uneven surfaces, etc.

So i guess my 2007 resolution is just to strengthen, rebuild and stay injury free. Maybe a few fun short races towards the end of the year. Setting very conservative targets, so i dun stress my ankle, dun want to rush myself at all. Slow and easy.

ok it's time to orh orh liao....
